The idea is simple. Let’s teach each other about each other. About our health and wellbeing. And about our illnesses. Furthermore, let's dispense this knowledge to our surroundings. Because an illness changes with perception, and this perception can make all the difference in the way we live.

Feeling Alone in a Crowd

Audrey Sloma

By: Audrey Sloma

A common belief of those suffering from mental illness is that they are alone in their struggle.  Especially among those experiencing depression- feelings of loneliness and isolation, which are illustrated in the picture, can increase how overwhelmed a person feels, making them completely unaware of those suffering around them.  Whether you or someone you know is suffering from a mental illness, it’s important to remember that no one is alone in his or her struggle and that communication is the first step towards recovery.
